Every company in Poland has a VAT number (NIP), but this does not mean that it is registered as a VAT payer. Transactions with companies that are not registered as VAT payers may have many negative consequences for you, so we suggest you always check whether your customer or supplier is a VAT payer. Consider also, that company which is registered as VAT payer today, could be removed from the list of VAT payers in the future.

Go to official government website
Type the data you will search for
Choose by which criteria you will search for:
- "Numer konta" - bank account number
- "NIP" - VAT ID
- "REGON" - company ID
- "Nazwa podmiotu" - company name
Enter the VAT ID you are looking for (or another criterion)
If you want to check the historical information - you can change the search date - click "Zmień datę".
Click "Search"
This database includes information on all legal entities, civil companies and sole proprietorships (natural persons).
Evaluate response
This response means that company is active VAT payer:
